It’s no news that veganism is the best lifestyle there is. Many Nigerians are now becoming aware of the negative impact of animal agriculture on their health, the climate, and the environment. This made me reach out to Babatunde Oluwaseun- who recently turned vegan, for an exclusive interview. He’s been vegan for 30 days and has seen such tremendous shifts in his health.

Babs! Tell our readers a little about yourself.
My name is Oluwaseun Ambassador, aka Babatunde Vegan. And I am very passionate about reconnecting with Mother Nature and the Spirits of our Ancestors.

How were your eating habits like before you went vegan?
Back then, I used to brag about not being choosy with foods, I could eat any and everything, but not anymore, although my eating habits weren’t excessive.

What does a vegan lifestyle mean to you?
To me, a vegan lifestyle is how to holistically reconnect with nature and revitalize our bodies.

Why did you decide to go vegan?
I went vegan to permanently rid my body of toxicity.

Do you eat enough foods as a vegan?
I am not a large eater. But I eat enough, to the best of my knowledge and body’s need.

What was the toughest part of the change?
Lack of vegan markets.

Any challenges sourcing vegan foods?
Yes of course. Certain exotic fruits and vegetables aren’t readily available, and that is challenging.

What health benefits have you achieved in the last 30 days on this lifestyle?
The last 30 days of my life have been amazing. My energy has increased and I have experienced quick health repairs.

How do you see the world now as a vegan?
As we all should see it. I am connected to nature.

What are some of your favorite vegan meals?
Still acquainting myself with them. So, I don’t have favorites yet.

How long do you intend to be vegan?
I intend to be vegan for Life!

What advice will you give to anyone out there, looking to go vegan?
Well, If you’re looking to connect more with your higher self, then you need to go vegan.
